GIRLS TENNIS MEETING
There is a meeting for all girls interested in playing High School Tennis in fall '08 will be on Tuesday, May 13 from 2:35-3:00 in B100.
This meeting is open to any girl entering grades 9-12. The meeting is MANDATORY to get information about the fall season. Any player who cannot attend the meeting must contact Coach McCloud at 413-8640 or

Sports Physicals

The State of Ohio requires all student-athletes to have a current physical in order to participate. A physical is only valid for one calendar year from the date of the physician’s exam. Completing the physicals at New Albany HS will ensure that your child has a valid physical for the entire 2008-09 school year.

CROSS COUNTRY MEETING
There will be a meeting for all students interested in running Cross Country for the 2008 season in room B117 at 2:45 on May 21. If you are interested in running, but cannot attend the meeting please get in contact with Coach Olinger (boys) and Coach Grefka (girls).
OLYMPIC HOPEFUL
Congratulations to senior, Tim Collins, for qualifying for the Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha, Nebraska, on July 4. Tim made the trial cut in the 100 meter fly with a time of 55.50 on March 28 at Indiana University/Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI). The top six fly times from Omaha will make the Olympic team that represents the USA in the Beijing Olympics in August. Tim will be competing in Omaha against the well-known Olympic swimmers Michael Phelps and Ian Crocker as well as many other excellent swimmers. Good luck Tim. Your hard work paid off. What a fantastic accomplishment!

PARENTS OF SPRING ATHLETES
In case you were not able to attend one of the mandatory spring parent meetings on March 12 or March 13, you will be able to view the meeting from a dvd. You or your athlete can stop in the Athletic Office from Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21 to pick up a dvd. So there will not be a long wait for a dvd, you will need to pick-up, view and return the dvd in 24 hours. You may call Mary Ferguson at 413-8325 to reserve the dvd for a particular day. Any athlete whose parent has not viewed the dvd by Monday, March 24 will not be able to continue spring participation until they do so.
If you attended the winter parent program for the same child or one of your other children, you have fulfilled your spring obligation.
